Is it just me? :(

Umm....I'm not sure if it is just me..
But there's something wrong with my fuel gauge!
When I'm on half of my fuel and i push my car(Like rev it hard.)
My fuel gauge begins to drop and if i stop or slow down it begins to go back up. It does this more as i get less fuel.
It keeps on going down, then back up!
Can i fix this?! and would an extra fuel gauge help on accuracy of how much fuel i have left?!

Another thing, what material do u guys print the cluster sets that u make yourselves?!

Thanks :)

Yep my fuel guage does that all the time. I never bothered to do something about it because I know approx. how many miles i get to a tank and I just go by that.:)

My car does that. So does my friends VW so I think Gas Gauges are just naturally messed up. As long as it isn't dangerously low don't worry about it.

That comes from when you step on the gas, all the gas in your tank goes to the back of your car, away from the gauge, so the car thinks there is less gas in your tank, then when you let off the pedal, it goes back to normal. It gets worse as you consume more gas because honda gas gauges are just like that. Mine has at least a gallon above the Full mark, and takes forever to reach the Half Full mark, then the last 1/2 of the tank goes really quickly. It's just a Honda thing.

It'll do the same thing on hills... Register higher levels when going down-hill, and lower levels on the way up.

Yup I get the same prob too LoL, never had it in another car though, well only when going up and down hills...

Must be a Honda thing :)

Yeah - what he said...the sender unit for the gauge is most likely in the front of the tank.
I heard from a Volvo mechanic that Volvo customers came into the dealer complaining that the water temp gauge on their vehicles fluctuated and they were afraid their car was running too hot when sitting....they had so many complaints of 'overheating' (even tho the gauges were working perfectly, and the car was simply running 10-15 degs hotter then when moving) that they re-engineered the gauges sensitivity to only move if the temp change became extreme from the norm, which meant by then, the car prolly was overheating  - my point is be happy your gauges work that accurately :)
