Aluminum rims are notorious for loosing air pressure. They either don't achieve a good set on the seals or more commonly, the lose air through the aluminum. The aluminum is porous enough to allow for leakage through the metal itself. From what I understand, the metal is sealed from the factory but wears off after a while. I've heard of a few products that claim to seal up the pores in the rim surface but have never had to use them. :2cents:

Why don't you try putting one of the tires in a tub of water or small pool and see where the leak is actually coming from. With a very slow leak you may need the whole tire submerged.

--If it's a tire problem, take them back and have them fixed. Buy good quality tires like BFG, Continental, etc.

My 2000 Intrigue had one slow leak that I needed to fill every 2 weeks, but the tire ran over a nail or something. I thought it could be a porous rim -and it wasn't.

You might want to fill your tires with nitrogen. It leaks a lot slower than compressed air and is better for your tires.
