I just purchased a 1971 XJ6 & in the trunk, behind the spare tire, it looks like there is a fuel pump on each side & a electric motor between the fuel pumps, what is this motor for ? thanks bill [email protected]

I had an '84 and an '86, both excellent reliable cars. I think you're looking at the power antenna motor, which lays on its side on the trunk floort just inside the sill on Series III cars.
