Nope.
The motor on the stand to the left of the car isn't the stock one. She is getting an upgrade. :icon16:

402 cubic inch LS1. Everything upgraded. Bigger cam, better heads, better intake, better suspension, etc....
So when are you going to finish? When it snows? :evillol:
Yeah probably.
I am REALLY hoping I get most of the work done this weekend. Supposed to be nice this weekend, so we will see.

Good luck. Here its been wet, very wet (5 inches of rain last weekend, 10 inches the weekend before) so doing anything outside is taking a chance, can't even take the mountain bike out as the trails are closed. Now its been around 50 during the day and in the 30's at night, and I have to do rear brakes tomorrow.

Damn, man. You should move down to Texas, or near me where I live, it almost never rains, only snows during February and for a week only, so you got plenty of time to work on your car, when it's cold it only gets to about 30 degrees LOWEST, and also it's on lower elevation so your car runs good!

It is a 6.0L LQ9 iron block with LS1 internals. More stroke and more bore.

damn i bet you spend a ton of cash. i know a guy with a 383 in his firehawk and the dude spent like 6k
Mr. Luos

$6K?? That's it?? Didn't go with much else other than the motor then. Either that or he re-used a bunch of stock parts.
My shortblock, heads, and cam were right around $5300.
That doesn't include anything else. No oil pump, no intake, no suspension, no gauges, no clutch parts, etc...

Must be nice to be able to spend that kind of money building a motor... But you did say earlier that the car was going to keep you poor, guess you weren't kidding.

What happened is that I originally thought I blew up the stock motor.
Turns out it was just bad gas mixed with a bad tune for the mods.
I planned and planned....and finally decided on what I wanted to do. That is about when I realized the stock motor was good. I had already put down about half the the shortblock/cam.
Figured what the hell....
