AEM EMS engine management system

I have a 01 civic LX and was looking for a new ECU. I see that AEM EMS is the same (part number) for:
01+ civic
02+ civic SI/RSX base model
02+ RSX Type-S

In what way this EMS can hadle all of those models no matter the D-series engines turn differently than the K-series?

Plus it says don't control the temperature gauges and the A/C. If I use this AEM EMS how I can control the temperature gauges and the A/C?

P.S.
An RSX ECU can be installed on a 01+ Honda civic?

It comes with a 7wire harness so you can leave the factory ECU hooked up to control the AC and Coolant switch. No you cant use an RSX ECU on a civic. No reason for an ECU upgrade unless your pushing boost or have RSX internals on your D, but I see you have an LX so not to sure what ur motives may be.

The major difference on the LX and EX is the VTEC (the cylinder head and some others), in all other things both are in the same way. I think maybe an RSX ECU will take out some hp from the "tired" D17; because the RSX is made for more sports and POWER PERFORMANCE, and the civic is made for ECONOMY and LOW EMISSIONS.

But do you think the can be on the civic and it will give to some more hp and will be more frindly with other upgrades?

No its a different ECU for a totally different engine. You have a D series RSX have K series.

Do you have a 01+ civic? What you can do for its D17? Or definitively this is a greatest failure of HONDA?

Honda civic and speed never really went hand in hand. I do own a 04 civic. After doing alot of research last year I realized it was a lost cause and moved on. There is not much to do on the D17. Even the D16 had some what of a potential curve. To get any gains out of this car your either going to

1. Swap in a K series engine off an SI or RSX or Type S
2. NOS
3. Turbo

Each of these require alot of money and isnt really worth the effort. You wont break 200 horse with a Turbo. IF you wanted more then 200 with NOS then your dumb. The swap will get you RSX speeds but it will cost an arm and a leg and you can ultamitly use that money to purchase a car that is fast already. No scense in dumping it into an 01 civic. I/H/C/E do nothing for the car but make it sound nice. This car was not made to be "hooked up" thats what the SI is for.
