clutch 1988 integra

hey , new to the forum, trying to find out how to adjust the clutch on my 1988 integra, it is not hyrdraulic, that much i do know. but that is all..

I'm not exactly sure what they used from yera-to year. What's the exact problem? Too loose, too tight?
If it's not an auto adjust, there should be a place in the cable (or where it mounts) that has a screw adjuster w/a lock nut.
I can look on my Civic but I'm not sure if it's the same design.

Your cable should have a touch of looseness, for freeplay at the pedal.

Grab the cable where it goes down to the tranny and pull up. you should be able to see the adjusting nut move up a little about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch. If not loosen, or tighten the adj nut a little at a time I would say about three spaces on the adj nut at a time then pull up again and see if you have the free play. Mine is at a 1/4" and that is where I like it.
