Getting in those Nooks and Cranny's!!

Hi Guys,

I was just hoping that some of you have some specific technique or way of spraying inside those nooks and cranny's. I find that after I have layed down a layer of paint, the most prominant parts that don't have paint on them are those that are difficult to get into. I can't lay down more paint to try and get inside them because it will run so what do I do??

Any suggestions??

always start spraying the hard to reach places, a couple of mist coats in different angles, don't worry about the body, always try to paint the nooks. Then a couple of mist coats on the body, followed by some wet coats.

+1.....I agree completely. Light mist coats directed specificaly to those "nookies" BEFORE painting the rest of the body is the best idea. "how do I know what parts to paint first?" you ask...well that's just gonna take some educated guessing

If you are using bottle paint, brush paint a thin layer into the corners etc, BUT only in REALLY hard to reach areas.. Done this before worked a treat.

Other then this, always work with the parts on a stand you can turn around, upside down etc and then aim the mist into the hard to reach areas first. After a few mists, it will get coverage, and then start spraying the rest of the part. It's hard, but it's just something you will have to learn.

As for what parts to paint.. Not sure what you mean, but always paint light colours first, then dark if you can.

by part I meant areas.

360spider, thanks but that's just for the body, I'm talking about things like the chassis or other parts.
