Does anyone know if GM ever made a 7x15 stock steel wheel with 4-3/4" or 5" backspacing in 4-3/4" bolt pattern? If so which cars might have used them? Need two, Thanks

almost positive they didnt. 5 inches of backspacing it alot, especially on a 7 inch wide wheel. I had to get 15x8 inch rims ordered especially from Cragar with 5 inches of backspacing, then they were hard to come by. If you get one with that mich backspacing you won't be able to use any kind of fat (air) shocks, and the rim will probably rub on the bottom shock mount if you dont beat on it.

Rob's 71, I have rear 7x15's with 4-1/2" bs, and the 255's rub on the inner fender panel's. Some of the older police/station wagons used a 7 or 8 inch rim with a special offset but I don't remember which years. Thanks for your input.

Go someplace like here: http://www.stocktonwheel.com/oem_wheels.htm
and have them made. The 20 series sounds like what your looking for. I'm sure there are other companies out there that can also do this.
