RE questions

1. SX or XXX? What differences will I notice? Power is 1600wrms @ 4 ohm in mono (check my sig). I want two 15s, each with their own 1600w. Already have one of the amps.

2. What about enclosure size? Is there a significant difference between the SX and XXX 15s? What freq?

3. I'm not opposed to buying different amps. The one I have is very large and another would be difficult to mount anywhere but the trunk and I want it all exposed for asthetic reasons. Any recommendations? I want one amp per sub.

I'm gonna have the back seat ripped out and the 15s firing forward. Basically, where your back would be if you were sitting in the back seat, are subs. Amps in what used to be the ass of the seat. I've been thinking about my new system a lot and am down to this. What I get here will be it. Then I'm buying everything. Thanks for any help.

The XXX is more SQ oriented, but gets damn loud, and 1600w will do it good. The sx only needs about 1000w to get loud, an there is a small drop in SQ but it will get louder. I dont think they are too far off from enclosure sizes, but the XXX might like a larger one, but its not needed. An SX 15" will like 3.5 to 4 cuft w/ the XXX needing atleast 4 cuft. If i were you i would wait a little longer till the new XXX subs come out, cause they will pwn all.

you wont be getting the XXX you are thinking of any more unless you plan on buying used.

think i'll get the dual 2 ohm SXx. any recommendations on amps? or will mine and another of the same work ok. i'm sure they will but they are so damn big. they are almost 3 feet long. i was trying to find two that would fit next to each other on my back seat.

get a couple RE 12.1's

1600 watts is a little excessive for an SX. i would bet it wouldnt last too long under that kind of power.
