Transmission Problems

My 86 SE has the mucie 4 spd manual, and I have a tough time getting it into reverse, and second gear is also very stiff, in fact at high RPMs (above 2,500) it usually does not go into second at all, atleast without a ridiculous amount of force with grinding. I just picked up some Dot 3 brake fluid and am going to completley bleed the clutch, thinking that it is not fully disengaging. Also, I was thinking about replacing the transmission fluid with the lucas transmission fix. Does anyone have any experience with this fluid, or any others?? Also, would you recomend checking/replacing anything else to help the problem?? Thanks in advanced.

Maybe its a syncro in the tranny for your second gear... and it could be your reverse syncro also. try taking up above 3K or so where you said it was really hard, pulling it into nuetral (from first-on way to second), let off clutch while in nuetral, rev then engine a little, depress clutch again, and then try to put it into second... my guess is that its a weak or worn out synco problem... but id still get a second opinion.
