Look at the struts should have an air bellows and a pump under the hood.

Where under the hood would the pump be and what does it look like?

On a 98 the pump is behind the right rear wheel. It's tucked up against the frame. I had to troubleshoot it last Christmas.
Earlier cars had the pump under the hood, but I don't know when the change occured. My 93 didn't have ELC.
ELC was included in some packages of options and also available as a single option on some cars.

Thanks......I was hoping that there would be a way for me to check without having to put the car on a lift or remove any wheels. I'll have my mechanic check when i bring it for an oil change.

If you state the year and model you have, someone else will know where the pump is and if it wasn't even an option on a Custom for sake of example.

I would say you have two ways to see if ELC is on the car.
Lie on the ground next to the right rear of the car. Look up under the car behind the rear wheel. If you see a pump about the size of your fist hung up next to the "frame" or if you see a link about 6 inches long between the A-arm on the right rear wheel and the link connects to the body above the axle area, you have ELC.
OR if you turn the key to on without starting the car and wait up to a minute, you'll hear the pump run for a few seconds to restore and adjust the air pressure in the rear struts. That assumes the ELC is working.

Same place for the 97.
