1994 Honda Accord LX.
My car was parked for 2 weeks while I was on vacation. When I got back, it appeared that the battery was completely dead - it did not start. In fact, no lights even came on the dash. The head lights don't even come one... not even dim. It's as if there's no power at all coming to car. When I checked the battery against the charger, it read that it was charged.
So then I checked the fuses. I saw that the main fuse - the one labelled "80A Battery". What I saw was kinda wierd....
The fuse block was cracked and broken. It appears as if it had blown before and someone pried the leads so that they came back together this is a 2nd hand car). When I saw it, the leads were touching each other, but I went ahead and bought a new one and replaced this one. But I still get no power what so ever. No other fuses where blown and I've checked both the fuse box under the hood and under the dash.
Can someone tell me what else to check?

did it run before your vacation? are there signs of battery acid on the terminals? try cleaning the terminals.

Turns out I can't rely on my charger meter to determine how charged my battery is. I finally took a volt meter to check, and sure enough, the battery is completely dead. But the whole thing made me discover that the 80A fuse was messed with by the previous owner......

Just FYI - if you were using the ammeter on the charger to judge the charge (and I assume you were) - a battery that won't take a charge will show a very low charge current, exactly as if it were a fully-charged good one.
