No hatred for Mustangs

As some of you may or may not know, I write a monthly column for a large regional newspaper. My column appears in the DriveTime section of the Sunday paper and it is always about automobile-related subjects. Generally it is on my racing experiences, but occassionally I venture off topic and touch on something else.

Emo...It basically means that even though you could have any girl you want, make millions of dollars, have every dream car in your garrage, and a dream house, your life still sucks and no one understands you. I prefere to call it Kurt Cobain syndrome...hopefully one day all those emo kids will pull a Kurt Cobain and thin out the shit end of the gene pool...

yeah i used to hate mustangs, the guy who got me into muscle cars was raised on his dad's camaro so so he hated all fords and even companies owned by ford like aston martin so i found myself hating mustangs and i didn't know why.

comon cassie, you cant possibly compare kurt cobain who changed rock n roll to emo garbage. not even remotly close. kurt cobain was just against main stream stuff, the reason he got mad was because he became the mainstream. emo kids just hate themselves and want people to feel sorry for them because theyre deuche bags.

Not ALL emo is about self-mutilation, that is just stereotyping right there...I do agree with you about the "my girlfriend dumped me, now I'm gonna sit in a corner and cry and write a song" perspective, but who here hasn't felt like that at least once? Emo, when it is well written, isn't just "woe is me", it has happy moments too. Ever heard of the band Mae? They are what you would call "Emo" and very few of their songs are "woe is me" material. Go me, I just hi-jacked another thread.

and Street Racer I understand your train of thought, but didn't it bother you when Gwen Stefani was singing "If I was a rich girl". millionare, poser bands who whine problems that they do not experience, and pretend theres still angst in their lives are not talented, really don't write their own music and don't deserve anyones money or respect...IMO

as for the article, its a good read...but thanks to you I now have to hate the Mustang, because it now reminds me of the yankees...all their success, and the unifying dislike and desire to kick the crap out of them = the yankees

Actually no that is not what was printed.
My Web editing software puts in a lot of "junk" when I transfer it over from my work software. That extra letter was the I for italics for the word owners.
