Light in dash won't go out

I have a '93 325is that has a light in the dash... a circle with dashes around each side. I figured it was my brake sensor, since my brakes needed to be replaced. I replaced them and the light is still on. What do I do? Is it even a warning light for the brakes?

You have to replace the brake sensors as well. They are designed to short circuit, therefore are for one time use. Once they're triggered as a result of worn brake pads and the warning light comes on, you need new ones. To avoid this in the future, inspect your brake pads regularly so you can change them before they trigger the sensors. The good news is that they only cost about $10 each. You need 2 of them- one on the left front wheel, and one on the right rear wheel. Once you replace them, the light will go out :)

This does not sound like a warning light for brakes. Could be indicator for high beam head lights, fog lights, or rear defogger. Let us know what it turns out.

OK! Do that way- when the engine is off, turn the ignition on,to the point when all dash board lights are on , but do not start the engine. Wait 30 second, and up to 1 minute, then turn ignition off. Now start the engine, brake warning light should be reset and gone off. Good luck ! Z.
