Does anyone know where I can get an sc/t hood? To buy a new GM one would cost almost $1500 after having it painted and installed. I don't have that much money to spend. If anyone has any ideas or has seen any for sale anywhere please let me know.

Hi friends... Has anyone on the forum ordered this hood from P.F.Y.C.; and if so, are you pleased with it ?
I definitely want one of those some day...
Thanks!

I saw those but hadn't heard anythiny about them and wasnt sure if they were an exact match to the original or not. I've been checking e-bay but rarely see one on there that isn't damaged

I spotted one on E-Bay today... The item number is 8007053109.
Man, how I wish I had the $$$$; but I can't swing it right now, dammit....
It looks really nice too. Oh well, I'll have to find another one down the road somewhere. Unless I hit the Mass state lottery, lol....
Take care..
Tommy
EDIT >>> I forgot to mention.... Scroll down when you view that SCT hood, because the first pic you see does not look too good. I guess he didn't use a good quality camera, but the other pics will show that the scratches are not on the hood; I think it is just the pics that make it look scratched (compare all the pics..)
Gee.. I should get a commission for saying that, lol....

I hav been keeping my eye on some local salvage yards. But most I see are broken or cracked from hitting deer. Someone needs to get rear ended so they dont damage the hood.

Definetly keep an eye out on ebay, and watch out for bid scams. I had that happen to me when i bought my sc/t wing. I got out bidded at the last second, but within hours i was offered a second chance offer to buy it for my last placed bid which i promtly took. good luck

what do you mean by bid scams? Is that where the seller bids on their own auction to boost the price?

Speaking of hitting deer I just hit one about a week and a half ago. My GA is in the shop right now but I have the standard hood and don't want to spend money towards getting it fixed when I can put the insurance money toward the sct hood. this is my car before I drove it off the dealer lot last month. the bid scams are when they bid it up to get a higher amount from you, the best is set a limit you are willing to pay with shipping in mind, then let it go from there.
That sucks about the deer... you should try to get it done at one time this way you can save on the paint charges since that would be covered by insurance.

i was biding on some stuff at Ebay and there was some bid scaming going on. I try to only buy from people with 100% or better feed back, and I DONT buy from outside the US either.
Deer play hell on newr automobiles, surprised you didnt total it Beaurhen2000. think u got lucky or it was a small deer. Thats really strange, 1 month after my wife bought our black GA, someone backed into the drivers door, maybe its some GA Omen.

I was in town and was going slow enough so that by the time I hit the deer after slamming the breaks I was only going about 15mph. It was a buck so it left little dents all over the hood from the antlers to. I am going to be a while off getting my new hood so in the meantime I'm going to borrow my friends ding king and see if I can get them out with that.

glad to ur alright, damn deer. I'd like to go hunting just to thin them out around where I live. They are everywhere and bunches of them since the feilds are being picked now. I keep my eye pealed, thats for sure.
i've heard the ding king works pretty good. Thats why I dont hav pics with my hood closed, about 30 dents from small hail last year. And my GA being black, it shows every body inperfection very well.
