It's normal for an engine to smoke a bit during the break-in period. Keep a close eye on the oil level for the first few hundred miles. A way to seat the piston rings in is to accelerate hard to about 45 MPH, then coast it down to 20, then hard to 45, then coast to 20 - do this about 10 times. The hard acceleration forces the rings out into the cylinder bore, coasting down draws oil up through to keep them lubricated. Remember that oil change in the first 500 miles.
