3.1 overheating

I need some help. I have replaced the radiator cap, had a radiator specialist flush it, changed the thermostat twice, temperature sensor, teperature sending unit, and head gasket. What else is there? When the engine is running, the hose going from the radiator on the driver's side is pretty hot. After shutting the car off and an hour later, just above the front vavle cover and under the intake manifold, it is still piping hot. What else can I do???

You say that the car is overheating but is it really. What does the temp guage say? If it is the normal range then the cooling system is doing its job. Just because the car is still hot after an hour doesn't actually mean that the car is overheating. Also, the hose should be too hot to touch when the car is at operating temp. If the guage is above the normal operating range then a probelm may exist or if you are seeing steam or water coming out that can be an issue otherwise I really can't see that an overheating condition exists.

Hey Jmartin, Whats the model year and milage now? What did the head gasket job cost? Hope your coolant flush changed out DEX-COOL to Prestone extended life.
