CAI... Which one is best?

I'm looking to put a CIA kit in my 00 GT (stock/no mods), can anyone suggest which one is the best for the $? Or are any worth it? I've been looking at a Thrasher and a K&N filter charger, are these valid options? Also, if I choose one, I understand installation is quite simple, but do I need to do an supplemental mods? Thanks,

IF you decide to buy one, get one that isolates the air filter element from underhood heat, not just an open element type. The K&N units are pretty nice, but you have to be careful not to over-oil the filters, because the oil can ruin your MAF sensor, which are about $160. No supplimental mods are necessary, but I have found on a non-modded engine, CAI are not worth the effort. Gains are minimal, and the risk of damaging expensive parts like the MAF are just not worth it. Just my :2cents:

Here's a link to one of the most popular air box mods for a GT:

I agree with Rich, a CAI won't do that much for you without other significant mods. Save your money.

I plan on going with the K&N air charger kit myself, I see them on ebay for $215(+ $10 shipping) all the time...

a CAI, 190 degree thermostat, exhaust and tires are the first thing I plan on doing
