95 transmission issues

Had my transmission fluid changed, the DIC was dinging "change" and ATF life was at 0% and new radiator installed 9/23/05. Immediately I noticed a "whine/whir" noise. Everyone told me they didn't hear it. Had trouble with shifting while accelerating. 10/5/05 took back to the mechanic and told him ATF level was low, really low when hot and foamy. He added some, he said a pint. Later that day I took it back to him since adding the ATF didn't fix the shifting. He stated that it would do no harm to a transmission driving it when it is only a little over a quart low. The next day he scanned, and said the solenoid was bad. He replaced the solenoid. Picked it up 10/8/05.
Still has the "whine" noise however is shifting OK. It whines in all gears, even park. What else could be the problem?
It is also getting hot again (around 220). I have also found out that I was charged for DexCoolant but my car has the green coolant in it.
Please help!

Check on whether that year requires dex, may have started in 96, then press the issue. Other things can whine like the trans, pulley bearings, and alternator need to be checked, if ok the trans can of course do this and the issue here is you claim it didn't do it till the trans service. Have your mech check for tsb's on this trans whine.

95's came with Green, which is why they put green in. The fact that they rang you up for Dexcool is a mistake but they may charge the same for both so it may not make a difference.

Will the alternator and/or pulley system bring up a code if I take it to Autozone and have them scan it?
I called the mech. to talk to him about my concerns (ie: no problems with the tranny until he worked on it) and he is either too busy or doesn't want to talk.

No codes for something like that. On the 95's if the service engine light hasn't been on for a while than there won't be any code. Also Autozone can't scan a 95, only 96 and up (AKA casrs with OBDII)

Also I recently had a whine noise which after a few weeks resulted in the alternator bearing failing and ultimatly the alternators ability to charge. That or the PS pump are good canidates. Have you checked your PS fluid level lately?

Power steering fluid level is fine. There is no additional noise in steering. If the alternator is failing doesn't that affect lighting and everything?
Just got a call back from the mechanic. He said if I bring it by after work, 4:30, he will listen to it but he is already stating that if it is a transmission problem - he had nothing to do with it. I don't get his defending himself already - I just informed him that it was still making the "whine" and getting hot.

If it is the alternator then the whining is most likly due to the bearing starting to fail. This won't distrupt the alternators ability to charge too much until it completely fails.
