OK, i have 2 eclipse 12"s that give 250w rms at 4ohms.
Whats a mono-amp that I can use that will be able to handle 2 4ohm subs, and is affordable? ($100-$200)?
I've looked at profile, but the manual says that the mono amp must see a 4ohm load or higher. if i have 2 4ohm loads, that would make the amp see a 2ohm load, right? or 8ohms? (i'm really confused)

if you wire the subs in parallel, + to + and - to -, then the load impedence will be 2 ohms, and your profile wont be able to handle it. But if you wire the subs in series, + of one sub to - of the other and then - of one sub to - on amp and + of the other sub to + on the amp. This will give you an 8 ohm load, and your amp can handle it.

wouldn't that mean I'd be drawing less power from the amp?

um, I dont know what you really mean. more current will flow with less resistance. You will have more power I guess with the 2 ohm load, but your amp will not be able to handle that much current without overheating. what I say to do instead of getting a mono amp and wiring in an 8 ohm lead, get a 2 channel amp and hook each 4 ohm sub up to each channel. that way you will have the maximum amount of current flowing that your amp can handle.
