I have a 2003 Elantra with 46,000 miles. I have replaced 11 headlights since January and when I put my lights on my stereo cuts out, also my wiper blades seized up. But the BIGGEST problem is a fter 5 months of ticking and the dealer saying there was no problem my oil light and my check engine light came on, I stopped my car, got out and looked under the car and saw that oil was pouring out from the motor. Had car to one dealership and they told me that they would not cover it under warranty because the crank seal went bad and they don't just go bad. $3500 for a short block. I towed the car out of that dealer and towed it to the dealership where I purchased my car. They are requesting my oil change records and I have most of them but my brother has done the last two oil changes and obviously I don't have receipts for that. How can I make sure that this is going to be covered under warranty? I take really good care of my car and i also want to know what would cause these problems. Am I just being taken advantage of because I'm a young, cluless girl? Please somebody help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There seem to be alot of people having a similair problem with the headlights. In the "most trouble free miles" thread, there are probably half a dozen comments about bad headlights. I've never replaced a light on my 2000. In March of 2003 I got hit in my front left corner, cracked the corner light cover. Drove around like that up until this past monday.. bare bulb showing, and never had to replace it. Never shorted out or anything. Finally got the whole light replaced because the shops up here won't inspect my car with a busted light cover. But 32 months of driving around with a bare bulb and never once having to replace it.. guess where others are unlucky with their lights, I'm unlucky with my radiator. Hey, anyone wanna trade?? :uhoh:
