Hello all helpful! I have a 1997 GMC Jimmy. I recently discovered when changing my front brakes there are what look like orange colored bumpers at the base of the upper axle. There are deteriorated and will need replacing. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of the technical name or part name so I can order a set over the web or on ebay (if lucky). Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!!!!

I can't believe know one knows what I am talking about. when driving you can hear a vaibration noisy since the bumpers are worn out. They are only about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and have a swcrew sticking out of it to bolt to the axle. Maybe this is better clarification!

Were you able to find them?

I'm pretty sure they are aftermarket parts, the originals would have been black not orange. :2cents: You shouldn't really be hearing any noise as these only come into play when your really bottoming out the vehicle.

Mine are original and they're orange
