Hi All,

Is it possible to add heated seats to a e-320 after the fact? The seats do have the dynamic feature, if that means anything. I live up north and really need this feature. I bought this car used, so I made a comprise on the seats!!!

A friend of mine had a bad back and added them to his MINT 84 190D. He purchased the seat heater pads, switches and control module. He ran into a little problem making the pads fit the seats because of the way they were stiched together but a little effort and it looked just like the factory installed them. It took a little time and some money but it turned out very nice. If you want to take the cheap and easy way out I have seen heater pads that sit on top of your seat and plug into the power outlet or lighter, I had one but I didn't like the way it made you feel like you were "on" the seat instead of "in" it.

Thanks - but will a MB dealer do it for you?

It's possible but at 50-60.00+ an hour I wouldn't want to pay that bill anyway, I doubt a MB dealer will do it mainly because of liability issues. I would think the best bet is to get a tech to do it on the side.
