New INtake.. Loss of boost.. Maybe??

Ok. I just installed a new intake pipe and filter along with my stock MAS. It took about 2 hours of my noobie labor time, not to bad considering I saved money. I noticed the added lift right away, but when I get between 3000 and 4000 rpms, my boost tends to skip a little. Now, it did this before with my stock intake so i am not sure if It got worse or better. I give it gas in 2nd gear going about 20-25 mph and the boost gain seams normal and a lot smoother but after it gets in between 3000 -4000 rpms, it feels my ride stops boosting at the rate it was before 3000 rpms. I had my sister give it gas a few times and I felt aorund the seals for leaks but i felt nothing. Any thoughts?

what do you mean skip? do you mean the engine sort of "stutters" and "stumbles"? if so, try changing your plugs.

it pauses not really stuters. I take, stuter, as a skipping motion, my turbo just pauses for a split second as the rpms goes past 4000. maybe my plugs.
