i have p753 code on my gp gt 97 3.8 my tranny works normally where is the 1-2 Shift Solenoid located ? help me please

Shift solenoid A circuit electrical problem. Solenoid A is the 1 - 2 upshift solenoid. It not easy to get at because it is located with the valve body which is under the side cover assembly of the driver's side of the transmission. IMO not typically DIY either.

If you're concerned with the problem then it would probably be wise to take it to a good and reasonable tranny expert. If you are not having any shifting problems, driveability problems or an SES/CEL light hopefully it's a fluke.
I wouldn't totally rely on generic DTC tranny codes such as P0753 but if it's persistent it's valid. Also the shop should have a scanner capable of picking up GM manufacturer specific transmission codes such as P18XX, etc. If it generates a P18XX code that would be cause for real concern. Either way it wouldn't hurt to have an expert look at it. Good luck!
