The mirror temp malfunction

The mirror on my 1998 tahoe stopped displaying temp in fahrenheit. It still works in celsius and direction. I have tried to reset it several times, when I do it flashes only C, it never flashes F. Any ideas?

you may get a SC for Short Curcuit the sensor is under 30.00 but a dealer part only
