headlights...

So I have been looking at new bulbs for my '95 LX headlights. I want that lexus look for it. You know, that whole purpleish blue tint, but not too blue. What should i bee looking for? A certain degree Kelvin or Xenon? I see a lot of different degress Kelvin (i.e. 4000K) but I'm not sure what will give me the desired effect. Maybe Xenon is the way to go? Anybody got an ideas or experiences? Thanks for any input...

I've heard the PIAA super plasma GTX is the best purple HID knock off. But they are very expensive, 85-120/pair. if you go to the manufacturers sites they might/should have pictures of what the bulbs look like.

PIAA lights. waste of my $75 back in my yougin days. they dont look anything close to HIDs.

E-bay has hid style projector headlights with the halo ring for under $150

all you can get legally are the 8000k or lower... (dull yellow 4300k , white 6000k, and blue 8000k)

10000k are purple, and 12000k are green, but i think both are illegal.... i have the 7000k nokya and there awesome. really blue, i know you dont want blue, but that might be all you can get thats legal

Noyka lights suck. I havbe never seen a pair that lasted more than 3 weeks. PIAA Super Plasma GTX's will give you the closest to what you are looking for in a Halogen (non-HID) bulb, and the light output is better than crap like Noyka. PIAA also offers a 1 year warrenty on theiur lights, so save the recipet, and if they blow out you can get them replaced. If the place of purchase give you crap about it, call PIAA directly and talk to them. $85-120 is a little high, I've never paid that much. I''d say $60-80 is the price range you'd be in for a set of Super Plasma GTX's. You don't want to go to far from the color of natural sunlight, 5250K. The further away from that you go, the less useable light output you have. The GT-X's have a color temp of 5000K low beam and around 4000K or so high beam.
