egr valve

hi...a p1404 code came up on obdII: "mfg. control, aux emission control. IAT-b circuit malfunction/egr temperature sensor circuit." From other threads I've heard to clean/replace the egr valve for this code. but they seem to have other problems and with my car, other than the engine light going on/off, the performance seems fine...do you think thats the problem? The guy at autozone did his thing on the computer and said try changing the temperature sensor...?

Did you find the problem was the egr valve or the temperature sensor?

If you look at the date on this thread it was back in 2005 so over two years old. Please do not bring back old threads.
