what does Corolla Plus mean?

I have a 97 corolla plus dx model and was wondering why the plus? I searched around and have no idea why toyota put this part of the name. I'm curious what added features its supposed to have? Thanks.

it could be the gold embedded version, you know....gold emblems, the toyota badge, etc etc
