Turbos

Hey I'm just wondering like (in order of smallest->largest) about all the turbos people put on dsms. Not like all of them just the common ones I think it goes like this, but I'm not sure...
T25(stock 2g?)
14b(stock 1g?)
16g(evo3?)
20g(no idea lol)
26g or 25g
Then like all the different trims and stuff, and you probably get asked this alot but which out of those would be the most reliable, afordable, for like 300-400hp. I'm hoping to get a dsm sometime, and I know I'm way far ahead of myself, but I'm just curious...I don't know how much power I'll want though. Just guessing like 300-400 but I don't want to have a small turbo maxing out the whole time, I'd rather get a little bigger and just turn it down some right? Sorry for the huge post and everything, and thanks in advance!

search on the individual turbos at other DSM sites for best info

however, for 300-400 hp without maxing the turbo I say a 50trim variant or mitsu20g. Check out the RS49t at www.agpturbo.com (I almost bought that)

Vendors have also released a ball-bearing 50trim with spool up about 500rpm better than regular 50trims. Check these out.

13g-automatic 1g
t25
14b
small 16g
big 16g
evo III 16g
18g
20g
t3/t4
50 trim

Honestly, I would suggest the Evo III 16g(or maybe even the GT) Either one will be good for 300+ horsepower. Just throw in some minor mods like fmic and exhaust and etc. and you should grab somewhere close to 300 and then add some fuel mods and you should be able to grab in the 300+ range. Whatever you choose...good luck!!

Awesomee, thanks a ton guys..I'm suposed to be studying for the PSAT's this weekend, but I can't stop looking at this stuff haha..It seemed like the 16g/evoIII/20g would be a good choice and alot of people have them plus like you said with the supporting mods it would bring the hp up more. Do most of those just bolt up? Or close to bolt up lol I'm going to check out some of those sites though thanks again! (I want a dsm soo bad haha)

All the turbos you said 16g/evoIII/20g will bolt up but I've heard it's a somewhat tight fit with the 20g. There's still the t3/t4 though...this one guy near me put one in his Talon with only supporting mod of fmic and 6 bolt head. I think he was running 10psi??? You would just need a new manifold though and I think an external wastegate too.

Get back to studying!!! :icon16:

Then after getting into a good college, you will be able to afford all the things you are looking at.
