It's a 1986 chrysler lebaron GTS with a 2.5 L 4 cyl., 3 speed auto, and 158,000 miles. When turning or going around corners the car emits a loud popping noise. Also whenever the car hits a bump, there is a loud rattle and the steering wheel gets kind of light. I don't really know how to explain it.
Any advice greatly appreaciated.

your tie rods sound like their shot, I'd replace those soon.

Heh, my car is a laundry list of problems. It's getting almost the same thing as what the 86 is doing except my steering wheel is fine and the car isn't veering in another direction....and it only happens when I'm making a left turn around 40+ mph...feels like the wheel is jiggling back and forth and sounds like it is....but when I jack it up I can't move the wheel at all and the tie rods look fine. I was thinking maybe the ball joint. My suspension is screwed, I know that for sure, but I find it hard to believe it would cause this problem...especially since it wasn't doing it before...and my suspension has been fubar for a while now. Not worrying about any of it until I get the damage report on my trans...which, btw, no auto parts stores in my area have even heard of a DRBII haha. Dealer parts place heard of it but isn't sure if they have them to sell...I need to talk to the service tech tomorrow.

My guess is you need struts, ot something in your suspention.

I'm willing to bet its a c.v. shaft

If it is the tierod you will notice play in the steering, but this problem sounds like the CV joint. Also check the ball joints.

I'm willing to bet its a c.v. shaft
Or a wheel bearing
Or a wheel bearing

It could be a number of things. It could be the tie rod, strut, wheel bearing, or even the C/V joint. Get the wheel off the side that is making the noise an check each part out. I'm sure one if not more of them need replacing.

Yes but a poping noise is the c.v. shaft, a tie rod end the car would wander, a strut the car would bounce forever after you hit a bump, a wheel bearing will make either a whine or a knock. The c.v. shaft can cause a high speed vibration is a wheel bearing has been previously installed improperly.
