I noticed a reset oil button in my glove box. what is this for?

Your LeSabre is setup with an engine monitor which keeps track of RPMs, distance and such. The computer turns on a light when a oil change is due. The harder, faster the car is driven, the sooner the oil change light will come on. When you change the oil push the button for a bit and the light will be reset.

I have owned my 97 for just over a year. I've never ran the oil until the light comes on. I've looked at the oil at 3000 and just have to change it. I have just over 106,000 miles on it.

Cool......Thanks Dan! If i'm not mistaking the 97 & 98 are the same car arent they? do you have any photos of your car?

one question ......when buick uses the word "Dynaride" what does that mean? I know it refers to the suspension one way or another but is there a different technology that they use? just curious.

Thanks Again, Pete

It's the softer suspension. Grand touring is the firm ride.

Sorry I don't have any pics that I can post. I would think 97 and 98 are close to being the same. Looks like your other ? has already been answered and better than I would have.
