brake fluid to stip paint?

i thought i read that andy jones had used brake fluid to get a model back down to plastic without actually hurting the plastic can someone verify this for me before i actually do it?

brake fluid works real good and i haven't harmed any models. just don't leave it in the fluid for too long. and it smells bad and is probably poisonous so don't swallow any or something stupid like that and you should be fine.

i haven't had a problem with brake fluid ruining the plastic and i've left my models in it for more then a day. Depending if you have glued some parts onto the body it might come off, depending on the type of glue that you used, it has happened to me a few times. Like my lip or mirrors would come off after.
