Check your thermostat. It may not be operating properly. Hell just replace it, they're cheap. Also when was the last time you flushed your radiator?

Good advice.
I remember my old 97 oldsmobile, the radiator had never been flushed since my dad had owned it, and by the time i got it, there was this like mud shit throughout the radiator. Flushed it soon after I got it.....no problems. BTW, it had 123,000 on it when i got it. Looooong time to go without flushing.

I have had the same problems, and when everything was said and done, it was a hair line crack in a hose (usually running out of the radiator or thermostat housing). I have noticed with my car that if a clamp is not tight enough or a slight crack is in a hose it will overheat (no matter how small!)... RE-Checking all hoses and clamps and ensuring fluids are full would be my suggestion after all else fails...

With 115k, you might want to look into a compression test, just to rule out the HG.
