Hi everyone,
I have a 1993 Caprice Calssice LS with a/c. With the fan turned on high when using the a/c all 4 front vents blow an equal amount of air. When I slide the temperature gauge from cool to warm the two vents on the passenger side reduce their blowing capacitiy to about 50%. All other vents work properly. It seems when reach the middle of the tempperature gauge you can hear the blower being reduced on those two vents. I annot figure out any logical reason fro this so I am assuming it is malfuncationing. Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm not sure but I think thats normal... I have an 84 Caprice (i know they're very different) and I noticed it does the same thing, except it still evenly distributes the air, it just slows it down.

There are 4 vents on the front of the dash - two on the drivers side and two on the passengers side. When the temperature gauge is set to warm the the air flow is cut in half to the two vents on the passenger side. The vents on the drivers side still blow very strong. When the ac is running all vents blow equally. Very strange situation????

ok first thing you might want to look at is a loose vacume hose behind the dash (usually behind the glove box) if one of the hoses is bad it might not switch the "flap" doors open and close all the way creating the restriction.
