Noise, creaking from front end.

Hi friends... Does anyone else experience noise and creaking from the front end when you hit a small bump, or take a sharp corner?
I already had my front sway bar replaced, and it quieted it up for about three weeks. The mechanic said there was a worn bushing there, so it was replaced.
I know it is suspension related (not wheel bearing, I mean...) because it will do it when the car is parked and you push down hard on the front end and bouce it. (strut mounts???)
Is there anything the "shadetree mechanic" like myself can do to lubricate any rubber bushings? The mechanic gave my front end a thorough check three weeks ago and said the entire front end is solid; nothing worn or in need of replacement.
So I am assuming that something else needs some lubrication somewhere. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'd sure be interested.
Many thanks !!

Tommy

Oops.... (edited)... I forgot to mention; the car is a 2000 GT1. Sorry 'bout that...

morning tommy00gt1, ya my 99' has creaked and squeaked. the rubber bushings are what I think it is, you can find urethane rubber bushing, they dont squeak as bad.

Sometimes the coil springs might move abit and creak , but not likly , unless the springs cracked or brocken, which will happen from jumping RR tracks or hitting chuck holes the size of RI and deep as a basemant.

I really wouldnt worry to much, these newr GA are squeak and rattle monsters. If it gets louder or more frequent maybe hav a suspension tech look at it.

Hi xero... Thanks for the info... Yup, I guess I'll have to put up with it, dammit.....
Man, how that gets annoying though. Not that it is too loud, but just enough to let you know it is creaking. Luckily the front end is quite solid; I had the tech insoect everything and I told him to be thorough. He said all is fine, so maybe he just missed that one bushing that is noisy.
I guess we're not alone though, as like you said there are quite a few of us with noisy front ends. Maybe some day before the snow starts here in Massachusetts, I might put it up on ramps and squirt every rubber bushing I can find with some Triflow or WD-40. Maybe I'll get lucky and hit the right one that is making the noise.

Thanks for your fast reply.... have a great Monday xero..

hey be careful with the lubricants! some stuff will sweall up or eat the rubber bushings and thats really not good. I think they do make stuff for that specific purpose. Also the new sway bar bushings might be sqeaking because they are new'r. Just an after thought.

Wow; I never thought of that....thanks! Maybe I should call the parts department and ask if G.M. has a special lubricant for that purpose.
I'm glad you told me that... maybe I would have done some harm!!!
