I am looking for some advice on what can be used on faceshields. I know sometimes plastics are a little finicky. I am looking for something for the outside for rain and moisture and inside for fog. I know to open my faceshield a notch for the inside but this morning it was really foggy and my faceshield kept getting wet and I would have to wipe it just wondreing if rain x or something different might work.

I use Optik Wipes They cut down on the Fog build up. I wipe the inside and outside of my shield. They are the same wipes used to clean microscope slides and safety glasses... non-abrasive and prevents fogging.. As for Rain-X..... I wouldn't use it on my helmet. for me it leaves a greasy film that's a bitch to get off.. I have used Zymol wax on the outside of my shield and it repels water and leaves no residue. :2cents:

what kind of helmet do you have. are you a mouth breather cause thats a big factor. i have a shark helmet and so far its the best for not fogging up thats just my preference. rain x works but like he said it can leave residue but thats easy to clean with windex. i may try that wax too.
