84 C10 new engine swap runs but wont idle

heres my situation i got a 84 c-10 305 that came out a 93 i changed intake put electric fuel pump and put on the old quadra jet when i start the truck my foot has to be pumping the throttle for it to stay on. it will die if i try to fix the pedal semi open or if i let go of the pedal. the fuel pump is a holley red series inline pump rated at 67 gph @ 6 psi is the carb???? could some one help me please????
