1991 Honda Prelude Si 2.1 engine has a problem

I have had about $3,400.00 worth of work on my Honda Prelude. My car still is acting up. When you shift to any gear my car is fine but when you are cruising between gears my car starts hesitating - then going - like when you first learn to drive a stick shift and you make the car jerk because you let the pedal up without enough gas :newbie: . Can someone please give me a cue of what might be wrong?
