the a/c went out the other day on my 02 gp, gt. I bought a few refrigerant cans, and the hose to put them in the system. I hooked up the cans to the hose, then the hose to the low pressure a/c line. I turned the a/c on full blast, and then punctured the can to realease the gas into the line. I let it sit for about 10 mins and none of the refrigerant went iinto the a/c line. I am sure everything was hooked up correctly though. and suggestions?? thanks.

Well, It could be a few items on the list of what's wrong. First - the hose you bought. Does it have a guage? If not - :nono: - bad idea. you hafta be able to check the pressure in the system. When you said you let it set for 10 mins - was it just that? the can "set" for that long? :nono: Sorry, but ya gotta lightly "shake" the freon a little to get it going. Another first - was the A/C compressor cycling? If not you hafta "jump" it to get it going. On my Ford F350, I had to jump the pressure switch to get it going. Works fine now. Let me know if ya need anymore info. :22yikes:
