corolla 97 wiring diagram for the stock radio

I'm trying to install a new reciever in my 97 corolla but don't really remember the wiring colors to the speakers and terminals so anyone out there who can either tell me the wires colors and where they run to would help. Thanks

the new reciever should have some wires coming out of the back. these wires will be colored. all you have to do is find the wires that oirginally connected to your stock reciever. you pretty much match up the wires, splice them together (then tape or crimp), and your good to go.

I would strongly reccommend buying a wiring harness that plugs into your factory wiring harness, then the other end can be connected to your after market receiver. This has two advantages. If you ever sell the car, you can put the stock receiver back in with no problem. The other advantage is knowing for sure that you have the right wires connected. It's next to impossible to cross wires or miss something if you have an aftermarket harness. I picked mine up for about 10 bucks at autozone. Worked great, and no shorts like some of the other folks on here that didnt use a harness.
