HI everyone,
I have a 1996 CLIO automatic which I love to bits but over the last two/three months it has been developed a fault. When I drive and stop somewhere the car will not start again for about 20/30 mins. The dash lights come on but the starter doesn’t turn over, I do not have an immobilisor fitted. This use to happen about once a week now its happening every other time I drive it. Please, please, please does anyone know what this problem could possibly be?
Thanks in advance
mel

its the starter motor, my clio was playin up for months starting it seems when ever it wanted to. If the car was left over night it wouldnt start but if tried the next day it would start. Took to the garage and they said a major problems with the clio are these starter motors. so get the garage to take the starter out and test it.

Hi, my son had same problem, just been fixed by replacing the coil pack and the crankshaft sensor (only about £20 each), hope this helps
