my dream car
M3 Special

this would be my dream car... if i could afford it :naughty:
take a M3, with all standard equipment.
rip out the S54 L-6, and replace it with a custom engine. that engine would be a M3 GTR racer block with bored cylinders, totally new crank, pistons, heads, cams, intake manifold, intake tube, thottle bodies, exhaust headers. create a custom 6 speed manual and bolt that to the engine with a short shifer and a high horse power double clutch. add a carbon composite driveshaft and composite half shafts (for the IRS). forgot to add the 3-way adjustable fuel map, and the high output ingnition system. man am i fogetting alot of stuff :). also add to this a bigger fuel pump and braided steel fuel lines, and slightly bigger injectors.
suspension... tear out both the front and rear suspension and realace them with double un-equal length A-arms. add stiffer springs, shocks, bigger roll bars, and new aluminum and steel strut tower braces. the new springs would rop the car 1 and 1/2 inches. replace the diff with a new one for better accel.
rims would be 19 inch BBS RS-GT Diamond Blacks custom made to be extra wide, 265 in the front, and 305 in the rear (sith BMW logos in the center). add the stickiest tires Michelin makes to that.
brakes would be custom Brembo vented and cross drilled carbon ceramics, 15 inch with 8 piston caliper in front, 14.5 inch wiht 8 piston calipers in the rear. with braided steel brake lines too.
interior would be black leather with brushed aluminum and some few carbon fiber bits. sound system would be upgraded a bit with a 750-watt amp and two sub-woofers.
body kit would be PhantomDesign's, cause it is just that cool. maybe with bigger fender flares though. and a new hood for the escape of hot gasses form the engine compartment. also add a new truck lid, not for looks, but for weight savings. and an adjustable rear spoiler. also add adjustable splitters to the front bumper. all this in carbon fiber.
and paint would be BMW's own Carbon Black Metallic, cause its the best looking for the M3 in my opinion.
the car would be dubbed, the M3 Special. its where i got my screen name.

ricer... :loser: . why add all that performance if all you're going 2 do is weigh it down with "dubs" ( :loser: ) a body kit, audio system and all that other shit? My dream BMW would be a Mclaren F1 :naughty: .

well, i like music. and adding a carbon fiber bodykit would reduce weight. and im pretty sure that the S54 block is heavy iron. so adding a aluminum V8 would probly reduce the weight even more. and i dont think driving a F1 McLaren every day would be very smart, cause my dream car would be fast, but very drivable.

why would u want your dream car to be a daily driver? u already have a car, all u need is a track slut.

so i dont have to have an excuse to drive it, and '89 Nissan Sentras arent the most comfterble (however you spell that) cars. or the funnestto drive for that matter.

There is nothing wrong with your dream car being a daily driver. The whole point of BMW is that they make road cars that are good on the track too. Performance isn't everything to everyone. Personally, I'd rather have my M3 then an Elise track car and a Camry daily driver.
M3 Special- It sounds to me like you've thought your car out very well. Good luck with it. Might i suggest that instead of a GTR engine, you could get big power numbers from forced induction. Dinan has a S/C kit for the S54 now, and DA Motorsports is coming out with a turbo kit rated at 550hp. That would be alot easier then getting your hands on a GTR block.

ya, forced induction was a thought, but i like the thought of 400 RWHP without all that. and besides, turbos get lag at low RPMs and superchargers sap a bit of HP at high RPMs. easier than getting a M3 GTR block would be getting the block from the supposed new V8 M3.

there is a reason why dream cars are called "DREAM cars", that means that you drive it on the weekend to get chicks or somtin, not everyday car, you dont want to mess it up now
