`96 Intrepid Tranny Problems

Hi Gang
Intermittent transmission problem .transmission shifts very hard on ocassion ,it may do it once a month or twice a day .If you drive it like you hate it the car is fine. If it is driven properly it will shift hard and you can feel the car shudder. I have had it to a transmission shop ,changed the fluid &filter and also the computer was scanned for any codes ,there was none. the car has 120,000 km on it and has not been driven hard over it`s lifespan, but that could change as I `m getting fed up with it.

try getting a software update known as "flash programming" for your transmission control module. That could correct things.
