What Can I do?

I have a right out of the factory 90 Geo Prizm. I want to do some upgrades so I can place an expression on my friends faces. If someone could tell me what to get and where to get it for cheap that would be great. It is currently automatic so I really want it converted to manual. But I don't know where to buy that at. I am a Noob when it comes to cars but My dad and my friends are basically like mechanics at it. So they teach me the trade. We all had to start somewhere.
