I used to love my DSM.. but all the mitsu owners in my city are complete jerks. I mean all.. except for one (who is my cousin). The point is.. because of all of this, it almost feels degrading driving my car. I hate getting revs from some jerk in his 3000gt when all I'm trying to do is drive my nine year old sister to her piano lesson. I just wanted to drive a car that looks great and have comfort knowing I can smoke a bunch of cars without even having to do so. I just wanted to enjoy my car, like the first day I put her into 1st gear.

I think I'm going to hang up these set of keys for a 180sx. I know this is kind of pointless, but I just wanted everybody to know that I don't need people to know my car is badass, I already know it's badass.

Dont use people reving there cars on you for an excuse, thats a very poor excuse!!! For a while on the highway i would race alot of people until one day i raced an undercover cop and got busted!!!. After that i let cars pass me and try to egg me on all the time.

Honestly, in a way, I understand exactly what you're saying...It get's really old everytime you drive somewhere and someone in the most random car will start reving at you and trying to race. Yesterday it was a girly celica and today a dualie it get's old really quickly. I just ignore them and pretty much only race if I know it'll be worth it(no honda's!). Don't sell!!!

Well, with all honesty, it's just because I don't like the majority of the Mitsu owners in my city (Regina). It's a small city, so as long as you're young and you drive a two-door car that even slightly sheds off the word "sporty", I could bet anything that there will be some Mitsu owner right behind you following you across the city to try and race or show you up. I just find it.. annoying. They just get cocky and I even get dirty looks because I drive an Eclipse. Maybe I should laugh it off because they're jealous :) I just hate the fact that I know I can blow half of them away, but I refuse to, because I wouldn't want anything to happen to my little sister. They see her, yet they keep flooring the pedal, braking, flooring the pedal, braking etc. like I'm going to race them with a little girl in the passenger. I just think it's retarded.

lol that would suck to have a 9 year old girl laughing at you as you rev your engine! lol i would go with that one also.

Yeah, i feel that too sometimes, but in the racing world your going to get fuckheads.... no matter what car you chose to stand by. My solution to this problem is turn your passinger windshield washer squriter to the side so when Fuckhead revs his engine, or choses to spout off his mouth you just push your windshield wipers and give him a shower to cool him down. Trust me he'll forget all about racing and be more concerned about weather or not windshield wiper fluid will stain his pink polo. Or you could just do the manly thing: shrug it off, and enjoy your nice ride.

OH one more solution!!! get a GALANT with the exact same 4g63 turbo and AWD, but 4 wheel steering!!! :0) Just as fast, but not as hot.

History: There's this kid from school that hates me because I drive an Eclipse and he drives a 2005 yellow Cavilier his parents bought him. All he ever does is try to blow my doors off but all I ever do is shrug it off. He thinks he is the greatest driver ever... even though he turned 16 only four months ago.

So just tonight, I was driving my sister from her piano lessons like usual and we're passing by my high school, and I see the jerk with his Cavi come up behind me, and being the impatiant little twerp he is, he swerves to the left to get around me. There's about three cars in front of us, but he swerves in and out, cutting them all off. Then we all come up to this bend with a sign saying: Max 40 km/h (He goes to this school too, so it's not like he didn't know the sign was there, but you know, teens in their new cars..). He sped up, trying to take the turn like he was driving a high-end sports car. Then all of a sudden, I hear a screech from his wheels.. he understeered right into a tree on the median!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing! After seeing that they were all right (impact wasn't too bad, fender, frame, headlights, hood axle.. k it was pretty bad :rofl:) and also being a witness to the accident, I slowed down, rolled down my windows and pointed and laughed at him and his girlfriend.. and then my sister did too haha. I cried it was so funny.. I guess he's going to hate me more.. but at least I still have my car :bigthumb: I wonder what his parents are going to buy him now.. :loser:

These guys are right, people will try to race you no matter what kind of car your driving. When i had my rs i would rev on some cars that i knew would kick my ass just because i wanted to see what they could do, definatly not because i wanted to try and show them up. If i wanted to that i would have gotten something faster....oh wait i just bought a hemi, hehe. Stick with the dsm.

I have the same problem. There's a huge street racing scene here, so there's tons of ricers than too. I'll get people pulling up to me and looking like a hardass, just start revving the hell out of their car. I look over, and just start laughing. When the light turns green, they take off, and I just let em go. It's not worth it.

There are some times though when it is. If you know you can take them, and you're in the mood, go for it. As long as I know we can keep up, then it's all good.

too many parents let their kids watch FAF1 and 2. i think its just kids. It's also better for those ricers, because if they rev at you and their engine blows, just point and laugh.

You guys should see that damn forum. Every other fuckin noob wants to drop in a 350 or a 3800, twin turbo it, and convert it to AWD/RWD. One guy was like, "Hey I just bought my friends td05 turbo for $50! Now how do I put it on?" Ambition is one thing, but being downright crazy/retarded is another and from what I have seen around here and on the forum, Cavalier owners and mental institutions go hand in hand. No offense to anyone with a cavy or one of the few guys in the cavy forum that know what they are talking about, but the majority of Cavalier guys I have seen have been watching too much F&F and have been doing too many drugs.

hehe. Atleast when I drive my eclipse around aside from the exhaust most people don't really know what it is. I don't have much of a problem with people racing me, except here and there.

But when I drive the Cobra. . . it's like every idiot sees the cobra on the back and wants to give it a go. I never waste my time racing civics or even m3's. Since I have had it, I haven't had anything to really race. Nowww if a corvette or a porsche pulled up. . . I'd give it my all ;)

There's a kid like the one with the cavalier in my town also. Parents bought him a jeep.. he "didn't like it", so they sold it and bought him a new Mazda 3 instead. He was always showing off and putting down my honda (which I don't pretend is fast), but he shut up pretty quick when he tried to walk me on the highway and I not only stayed with him but outdrove him (note I said outDROVE, his car SHOULD beat a civic). Anyways, he ended up selling that and buying (or I should say parents bought) a 02 BMW 325xi and continues to think he is badass.

There's this really ugly Cavalier driving around my city, full kit but no spoiler, ricer tail lights and the flatest orange paint job I have ever seen.. I think the guy lives on a main street, so if I ever see the car parked out front, I will definately snap a photo of it. I might even possibly include a picture of me laughing at it like laughatrice.com, except it would be laugh at.. ..wheat?
