Windshield Wipers Just Stop

I did a search and could not find the same problem. I have a 98 GP and after using the wipers for about 15 minutes they will stop in the up position.It does not matter if it is in intermittent mode or slow or fast modes.They eventually start working again after a few minutes or sometimes if i shut them off and then on again.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank You

Thanks for your help, i will give it a try and see if they are stripped. I live in FL, so i know that snow and ice was never a problem.
