My friend has a 98 GS and he is thinking about lowering it, and he asked me if i knew if Dropzone lowering springs or Tenzo R lowering springs were any good?? I dont really know if they are or not. He is kinda limited on his budget so he doesnt want to spend like 200 dollars for springs. Does anyone know anything about these springs? are they really bouncy? ect.....

Thanks,
Steve

I have a Brand New set of TenzoR lowering springs. I got them for my 96 Eclipse RS but a week after they arrived it was totalled so they are sitting in the box. I never even tried em on so they are brand new. Purple color. I got them for $120 plus shipping but I will let them go for less since I dont have a N/T car any more :).

dropzone are really bad, Tenzo R are just regular bad. With either make sure he upgrades the shocks if he doesn't want his car to handle like a shopping cart.

lol That's a good way to put it. Not to mention that the stock shocks are not made to operate at that height... So they'll be useless sooner than expected. I have the Eibach Pro Kit springs and KYB AGX shocks... It's amazing. Save up and do it right. The TenzoR and Dropzone springs are horrible for a daily driver... And a drop greater than 1.2'' will almost guarantee a scraped up front fascia.

yeah hes is going to get KYB AGX shocks, but he really doesnt want to spend a whole lot on the springs. So should i tell him that Tenzo R's are better out of the two then??

I will sell em if you want em for your friend Black97GSt but all springs suck since they are not all that expensive. If you want good suspension and quality parts it will coast him a lot more $$$ for the best parts. A lot of people out their also cut their stock springs ( which is retarted since its better to buy new ones and they are not all that expensive.)
I think the springs are between 2" and 2 1/2" drop.
I dont need them so its your call.

he said he saw some Tenzo R's on ebay for 116 shipped.... eventhough these aren't the best quality springs, they would be a lot better than coilovers correct?

Ill buy them if you want to sell em. For real

If he can shell out for AGX's he should get some quality springs too. It would suck ass to get nice shocks just to have them fucked up by some shitty springs. If it were me, I would buy one or the other and save up for a while. Thats just my :2cents:

Hey David no problem man I will sell em to you since I dont have my car any more. They are about 10 days old and are a 2 - 2 1/2 inch drop. I got them for $100 and I payed $21 for shipping so thats about $120 but I will sell em for like $50 and shipping should be around $20 so that be around $70. Thats almost half price than what I payed but if I return em they get 45% restocking Fee so I rather give em to some DSM lover that can be happy with em then those other bastards.

I prefer them better then coil overs

Thats why I bought them :)

It depends on the coilovers, since he wants to go cheap I'm guessing he'd be looking at sleeve coilovers in which case the springs would be slightly better, but if he was looking at full coilovers, then the coilovers would be much better.
