Waaaaaaa! My first Tamiya build!!!

Bought this kit at the LHS for $15 in the bargain bin.... Figured I might as well start with japanese cars I like, being mostly 80s models... I KNEW buying another Tamiya would bite me in the ass! First I find out it's a kiddy's snaptite kit (my fault, but still...) and now this:

you can try soaking that portion in warm water and bend it back into shape, but it looks pretty bad. good luck

place the Windows in it and warm it with air drawer.

The windows will give perfect shape.

I crammed the window glass in there last night and clamped it to all 4 pillars, then I heated it with a hair dryer for 20min or so... I'll leave it that way and check it in a few days...

Pretty bad... I think Vric's way is good. I've tryed Vric's way for my accord before. then it gets really good shape. GOOD LUCK.

and that's trueno kit is very rare in JAPAN. I think you're lucky.

if you heat it with hair dryer will it melt the windshield?

Vric's idea worked reasonably well, it's almost back to shape... I'm gonna clamp it in place again and leave the hair dryer to blow on it for an hour or so this time... and no, it didn't melt anything, it's not hot enough.
