Various Blown Fuses Related to Tranny

(Ive posted this before, but some new info has come to light about the problem so I reposted it.)
I own a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT Automatic. Whenever I put the car in reverse, the Automatic Tranmission Fuse blows. It has also blown when changing from Overdrive to Park. Once this happens, all power to the tranny is lost and Im basically stuck without overdrive. Also, when I put the car in reverse, the "Back-Up Light" fuse blows. Is there some kind of
connection here? I just had a new tranny put in about 9 months ago, so I doubt it's a problem with the transmission itself. Im thinking it may be electrical. Can anyone tell me why this keeps happening or what I need to do to fix this?
